The National Trust for Scotland has the following management measures in place to ensure its functions and regulatory powers are carried out in a manner that achieves the conservation objectives for the inshore marine protected areas in which it operates:

  1. Raising public awareness about grey seal conservation and the legal protection, including appropriate behaviour around seal pubs
  2. Monitoring of seabird populations
  3. Management of the St Abb’s Head NNR
  4. Engagement with the public  and promotion of relevant codes of conduct
