Eider Aware North East

Welcome to the Eider Aware North East project webpage

Eider Aware North East is a new project which aims to celebrate the nationally important eider populations on the Northumberland coast and raise awareness about the threats that these much-loved sea-ducks are under.

As part of the project we would like you to record any sightings of eider that you make when you’re out and about on the coast or any instances of eiders being disturbed by human activity. The data collected will help us target future conservation action.
